St. Edmund's Dart is an irregular publication of St. Edmund’s parish; irregular in much the same way that the original Calgary Eye-Opener was irregular – published when the publisher felt like publishing! It may prove to be monthly; it may not. We shall see whether there continue to be enough ideas and/or submissions to justify a regular newsletter.

Like the Calgary Eye-Opener, the opinions and ideas expressed in the Dart are those of the editor/writer, who takes full responsibility for them. If an article touches you or reflects well on St. Edmund's, then it is because there are many generous and committed members within the congregation.

The name of the publication is a tongue-in-cheek tribute to our church’s patron saint. From an historical perspective, three arrows made a lasting impression upon King Edmund. I hope this humble dart will make one on you and will always go straight to the heart of any matter worthy of printing at St. Edmund’s.                                                                                                                                Terry
